That's right, Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand's most widely planted varietal, celebrates its International Day on Friday 5 May and we'd like you to be part of the celebrations.

Sauvignon Blanc makes up at least 80% of the $1.6 billion of wine exports from New Zealand annually and Nelson has the third largest plantings in New Zealand, behind Marlborough and Hawke's Bay.

The goal for New Zealand Winegrowers is to have #sauvblanc trending on social media worldwide.

If you ever needed a good reason to grab your friends and enjoy a glass or two of wine...today is the day!
