It's no secret that Nelson produces some of New Zealand's finest wine; from Chardonnay to Aromatics, Sauvignon to Pinots. But it's always great confirmation when our wines are recognised amongst the greatest.

Two Nelson Pinots were named as the top two NZ Pinots by Jasper Morris MW, in a recent tasting of NZ Pinots for the magazine The World of Fine Wine.

In his review titled "New Zealand Pinot Noir: Identity and Maturity", Jasper Morris MW described New Zealand Pinot as "...coming of age. The vines have had time to mature; the grape growers and wine makers too."

And whilst he praised many New Zealand Pinots, his two highest awards were given to Greenhough and Neudorf, with both wines characterised as being "beautifully balanced and delivering ripeness and red!"

This really is a fine tribute to one of New Zealand's brilliant but sometimes overlooked regions. #NelsonShines
