Food and wine are the windows into the essence of a region and its culture. They’re a way to experience the heart of a place. Nelson ‘from Source to Serve’ is a showcase of the very best local produce, prepared by selected local chefs, matched with award-winning local wines, craft beers and cider. 

As Australasia’s largest fishing port, Nelson’s freshest produce has a strong emphasis on seafood, which matches perfectly with the wines produced from the complex grapes grown on the gravel threaded clay soils in the Moutere Hills and the vibrant aromatics grown from the stony alluvial soils of the Waimea Plains. 

Mahana serves as the perfect venue, set amongst the vineyard and landscaped gardens with a spectacular backdrop of the Mount Arthur mountain range and Tasman Bay. 

We were honored to host Their Royal Highnesses at our event today. Her Royal Highness is President of The United Kingdom Vineyards Association, so a visit to one of New Zealand’s premier wine regions is very fitting.
